Is Discipline the Key to Success part 1

Is discipline the key to success?

A lot of people may think that discipline alone is the key to success and equate it with the sole factor determining whether they can or can’t succeed.
Because they know themselves as lazy or unmotivated, they distrust their ability to succeed and worry they may fail if they commit to a dream, a business, or a goal.
Although discipline isn’t the problem that most people with a lack of it have, it’s not the reason they are able to succeed or not.
Here is why: Feelings in the human mind are generated by resulting beliefs.
So if I feel motivated and inspired, In my day-to-day life, it usually comes from a person seeing the goal as possible and the mind associating the goal with a fun experience. If these associations are naturally there, then everyone should have access to discipline and motivation.
The only time it’s different is, if you see a mind that has a belief system that they can’t ,or was heavily told they aren’t capable. As a result, the mind creates an obsessive-like state of feeling, motivated to prove to others that they can, indeed succeed.
I’m not talking about these feelings of motivation; I’m talking about the ones that are naturally wired in our minds. As long as the below is absent, the person should feel access to their desires, and this should generate a stable, consistent, and balanced feeling that moves that person towards what they desire.
Unless this happens,
When we want something as children, we learn that we are solely dependent on others and adults are responsible for our needs. When a child has a lot of disappointment over a period of time, the resulting belief forms, that anything they want or need will be almost be impossible to achieve.
This belief forms a defence to the person survival, as if it believed that it would be easy, it would need to keep challenging the parent to have what it desired.
What would have happened as children if we challenged the people who cared for us?
There are lots of different variations; in some cases, the parent could have been like,
Oh, you’re so spoilt, you’re so impatient, you’re so naughty, you don’t listen, ect. ect. This belief has now become a way for the child to avoid being called names or even being hurt.
The second reason this belief is helpful to keep, even though it completely makes any type of action feel like pulling teeth, is that if we challenged the beliefs of those we were dependent on, it could have resulted in our deaths or even being abandoned.
So this belief forms a survival strategy to make sure we continue being loved, accepted, and continue to be taken care of.
The issue is that when we become adults and are now responsible for going after what we want and desire, so many people are confused as to why we become self-doubting, scared, unmotivated, lack discipline, or lack desire when the time and moment comes to act.
Why would we want to do 40 other things, other than the thing that would lead to what we want? It is actually not our fault. We are not uncommitted, lazy, unable to reach success, etc.
In my experience, when someone like this comes across someone like me who is telling them, ” it’s so easy,” it will automatically trigger distrust towards me, as their mind has been set, to a point that feels and believes that getting what it wants and needs is difficult and hard to accomplish.
The person’s discipline and motivation are now naturally reduced. Would you really be motivated if you secretly believed it would never come about? Not really.
So is discipline the key to success? Let me explain a little further.
How do I handle such a thing in a person’s mind, and how can you work with your own mind to get the best out of yourself, if the mind has been programmed to naturally feel unmotivated as it associates the goal or desire with a struggle.
How motivated would you feel if you felt the goal you desired was difficult, impossible, or not going to happen?
I wouldn’t be very motivated. I know that, so I have alot of patience for people with who feel this way as its not their fault.
Their minds does this automatically.
The thing is, this can be removed forever. The mind can naturally ability to feel excited by the goal and set tasks and no longer feel afraid.
How much time would be save, if your mind felt unstoppable, motivated, and took action when you needed it to?
How much more money would you make and how many more people could you serve if you were able to just act when you wanted to?
How much more of an impact could you make in others lives?
What would your health look like if you felt naturally motivated ?
So is discipline the key to success?
It’s the tip of the ice burger.
The key is that, it is dependent on your being able to understand this.
As a child, you relied on others for your needs. The present is separate from the past.
It is no-one’s responsibility but your own to meet those needs.
For example, for you to succeed, If you were to take back the power of it being your responsibility, it wouldn’t make you automatically geared to fail.
The opposite would actually happen. If you took back your power and understood that as long as you do not try, it will never happen and that belief system will automatically be proven right.
Secondly, the biggest thing lurking under not being disciplined is something that is greater than being disciplined.
Come back tomorrow to hear the rest, as I listened to one of my readers and she asked me to shorten it. I’ve heard you, and I’ll shorten it.
